The license and the state number 1616 were obtained on November 11, 1991. At that time, the name of the bank was BALTKONVERSBANK (the Joint-stock Baltic Commercial Bank).
In November 1994, the bank was joined by new shareholders representing private capital as well as such companies as OAO Gazprom, AB Gazprombank and NPF Gazfond.
In January 1995, the bank was registered as AO Gazprom's stock depositary.
In March 1995, correspondent relations and those of partnership were established with KB Gazprombank. The bank became an active member of the inter-bank crediting, short-term state bonds and the money markets and began financing large gas companies.
In November 1995, the bank was reorganized and renamed the EVROPEISKY Investment Commercial Bank limited liability company.
In October 1996, the bank's authorized capital was first increased to RUR 25 million.
In May 1997, the bank moved into a new modern office building, its floor space 1,500 m2, located at 39 Kutuzova Street.
In July 1997, the Client-Bank system was launched.
In December 1997, the bank obtained its license to become a professional member of the securities market.
In March 1998, the bank began working with 17 currencies. It was among the first in the region to be connected to the electronic payments system which allowed it to perform operations "on the same day" not just within but also outside the region.
On December 2, 1998, the bank began issuing Visa and Eurocard/MasterCard plastic cards under an agency agreement with KB Gazprombank.
On March 25, 1998, the Central Bank of Russia issued General License No. 1616 for banking activities to the Evropeysky Investment Commercial Bank.
In March 1999, the bank’s website was launched.
In July 1999, the first edition of the bank's ideological basis, the Mission and Vision was formulated.
In December, 2000, the bank obtained its brokers and securities management licenses.
In January 2001, these were followed by a license for depositary activities.
In September 2001, the EVROPEISKY bank was connected to the SWIFT international payment system.
On September 26, 2001, the bank concluded its agreement with 1,000th corporate client.
On September 27, 2001, the Evropeysky Investment Commercial Bank, the first in the region, was reregistered as a private corporation.
In October 2001, the commercial use of Internet-Bank system began.
In 2002, correspondent relations were established with Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas (New York), Deutsche Bank Frankfurt am Main and Vilniaus Bankas AB Vilnius, the number of the bank's correspondent accounts with foreign banks reaching 14.
In April 2002, the first wage-paying project, using of the Visa International payment card, was implemented.
In June 2003, the banks own RS Retail program launched; it transited to independently maintaining Visa, Int. card accounts.
In September 2003, correspondent relations with the Kredit Bank of Warsaw were established.
On November 24, 2003, the bank concluded a service agreement with its 2,000th corporate client.
In January 2004, the authorized capital of the bank was increased to RUR 55 million.
In March 2004, the bank joined the Visa International payment system and began to independently issue VISA Electron bank cards.
On December 2, 2004, the bank joined the deposit insurance system.
In 2005, a new service, trade acquiring was successfully introduced under the project of bank cards development and the bank received a corresponding status in the VISA International payment system.
In July 2005, the monthly turnaround of clients' RUR accounts exceeded RUR 5 billion.
On September 21, 2005, the bank accepted the 1,000th depositor.
On November 9, 2005, it issued the 5,000th VISA/MasterCard plastic card.
On July 24, 2006, the authorized capital of the bank was increased to RUR 105 million.
On August 17, 2006, the bank announced the beginning of a re-branding campaign.
On November 11, 2006, the EVROPEISKY bank was 15 years old.
In December 2006, the agency agreement for accepting applications for paying out and cancelling investment shares was completed between the bank and the Regionfinansresurs managing company and the bank began accepting applications for the acquisition of investment shares.
On January 18, 2007, a new operational cashiers' office of the bank began functioning at the Mayak trade centre at 21 Teatralnaya Street.
On January 31, 2007, the new Central full-service additional office opened at 7-17, 17a Zaraiskaya St., next to the Palace of Weddings.
On April 16, 2007, the new organizational structure of the bank became functional. The improved model of interacting with clients includes the identification of priority service areas: servicing corporate and individual clients and the development of relations with groups of strategic clients.
On June 1, 2007, a new tariff, "Vostochny" was introduced, allowing clients to make money transfers to the People's Republic of China at advantageous rates without precedent.
On June 3, 2007, the bank opened a new additional office for servicing corporate and individual clients in the Baltiysky Business Centre building at 40 Moskovsky Prospekt.
On August 31, 2007, the EVROPEISKY bank began cooperating with the REGIONFOND non-governmental pension fund under a mutual statutory pension insurance project.
On September 10, 2007, the Chief Agency of the Central Bank of Russia registered the report on the results of the additional issuance of shares by the EVROPEYSKY Investment Commercial Bank. Now, the authorized capital of the bank reached RUR 125 million.
On September 25, 2007, the first electronic payment was effected in the GOROD federal payment system through the Internet-Bank for individual clients.
In September 2007, the EVROPEISKY Investment Commercial Bank signed an agreement with the Russian Bank for Development of Moscow for the implementation of a joint program of the financial support of small and medium-size businesses.
On December 21, 2007, the bank signed the 300th agreement for the servicing of a wage-paying project with the use of VISA International payment cards.
In January 2008, the EVROPEISKY bank became one of Russia's 300 top universal banks, having come up the 292nd in 2007 according to the RosBusinessConsulting agency's "The Most Profitable and Efficient Banks in 2007" rating.
On March 11, 2008, the EVROPEISKY Investment Commercial Bank issued its 15,000th bank card.
